The incident occurred in New Haven County just before 1:30 a.m. Monday, May 13, at So Blu Niq, a part facility in Waterbury.
According to Lt. Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police, Shaquille Morris of Waterbury was identified as the victim who later died from his injuries at a hospital shortly after police arrived on the scene.
Two additional victims were identified as 39 and 44-year-old females, both of Waterbury, who sustained life-threatening injuries and were treated and released from area hospitals, Bessette said.
A preliminary investigation has indicated that two private parties were occurring at So Blu Niq, Bessettes said.
At some point during the events, a disturbance occurred between individuals from each party, which led to the shooting.
"It is believed that there were individuals attending each party that were previously known to each other," Bessette said. "There have been no arrests made as of this time."
An active investigation by the WPD Major Crimes Division is ongoing.
Anyone with information is requested to contact the WPD Detective Bureau at 203-574-6941 or Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line 203-755-1234.
