Who are the titans, and who is the founding titan?

Eldians were a tribe of people that lived in a small town. The town gets raided by another tribe, resulting in the Eldians getting enslaved. Ymir is a young Eldian girl living in the village who gets enslaved. One day she gets into trouble. Ymir releases the animals at the hovel and gets captured and brought to the king. The king releases the young girl but sets soldiers and dogs behind her. The injured young girl finds a weird tree and hides inside to save herself. While hiding, she slips and falls inside a deep water pool present inside the tree. A strange parasitic insect attaches itself to Ymir. She is resulting in her becoming the founding titan.

To the reader’s surprise, Yamir returns to the king to protect him and helps him defeat his enemies. The king still enslaves and beds her. Through the union, three children are born. Rose, Sina, and Maria. The walls protecting Paradis are named after her three children. One day an assassin attacks the king. Ymir takes the attack and gets wounded. The king asks her to save herself, but she doesn’t. Having lost her will to live, Ymir succumbs to her wounds. The king, not wanting to lose his power, asks his three children to eat their Mother’s flesh, thus gaining control of the Founding Titan. He urges other people to do the same. This makes Eldians the only race that can transform into Titans.

What is Zeke and Eren’s plan?

Yelena finally discloses what the two brothers’ actual goals are as the Yeagerists, with Zeke’s assistance, seize control of the government and shut down the whole military establishment. According to her account, Eren and Zeke intend to exterminate the Eldian race to guarantee that no Subject of Ymir will be alive in 100 years. While the Eldians live out the rest of their days in peace, they will also give the world a taste of the Rumbling as a deterrent.

However, things go wrong when Marley surprises Shiganshina and attacks, leaving Eren to defend alone against three Titans as the remaining Garrison and Scouting regiments battle the foot soldiers. Zeke, who had fled Levi, eventually appears and balances the situation for Eren as he moves towards his brother to activate the abilities of the Founding Titan.

What is Eren’s role in the “Attack on Titan” ending?

Unlike the other Titans, the wielders of the Attack titan can see the future and connect to the past through the memories of its future, past, and present wielders. After a protracted battle, Eren manages to escape and goes toward his brother, but Gabi shoots him with the Anti-Titan gun. The brief minutes of Eren’s consciousness that remain allow him to be transported into the Paths, where all of the Subjects of Ymir, or at least their souls, assemble. Eren’s head settles on Zeke’s extended hand.

The “path” is a place where followers of Ymir meet. Time in the path doesn’t flow linearly. Zeke adds that he has been there for a long time since time moves differently in the Paths than in the outside world. He had been anticipating Eren’s arrival for them to carry out their grand plan. On the other hand, the main character scorns Zeke’s scheme and confesses that he has been using him as a pawn to access the Founding Titan’s abilities. Zeke discovers that Eren was the one who coerced their father into killing the Reiss family at the beginning of the story. Grisha also forewarns Zeke that Eren will have whatever he wants in the future.

The Rumbling and “Attack on Titan” ending according to manga.

Eren gains the power of the founding titan through Ymir. He goes to her memories and holds her; he tells her she is free to do what she wants and isn’t a slave. Ymir lives in spirit even after her death. He uses this to cause the Rumbling and makes everyone believe that Zeke started it since he carries the blood of the founding titan. Rumbling releases thousands of colossal titans inside the walls to attack and flatten most of the world and kill as many people as possible.

Mikasa. Armin and Levi team up with the rest of the titans to stop the rumbling from continuing. Levi fulfills his last words from Erwin and kills Zeke. Hangi sacrifices herself to let Levi and his corps move ahead. Levi and Mikasa reach Eren through the Rumbling and fight him to reach his nape. Mikasa discovers that Eren is in the mouth of the titan and enters inside, cutting his head off. Ymir watches all this. Mikasa kisses Eren on his lips as a sign of final goodbye and walks with his head to bury it under the tree from which the whole story began.

AOT: The aftermath of rumbling.

Mikasa releases Ymir of her curse and finally frees her from this world. Erenb says that Ymir was cursed because she loved Fritz. She decided to return and serve him because of her love for him. Only Mikasa had the same loyalty to Eren that could save her from the curse. We see Ymir’s image dissipating into the wind. The final episode is called “Towards the Tree on That Hill.”

Armin didn't approve Eren's actions, but he was benefited from the massacre regardless of his intentions. And since Eren could never be understood by anyone, he told him "Thank you for being a mass murderer for our sake" as a way to get as close to him as possible. pic.twitter.com/5ZlxnddcF4

When Ymir disappears, she takes all her powers, turning all the titans back into humans. Armin meets Eren on the path. Eren asks Mikasa to forget him and move on, which makes Armin slap him. Eren says he did all this to save the world and stop the titans from ever being used again. Armin explains that Eren wiped out 80% of the world’s population. Eren finally confesses his love for Mikas, and they say their final goodbyes. There is a glimpse of the future where we see the world is at war again. Some things don’t change when humanity is involved.
